My passion for photography started in the ’90s. Since just LOVE being in nature and capturing beautiful scenes I take nature photos most days. Sunrises, sunsets, water, foliage, beaches, and mountains I find make me most passionate. Purchasing my first digital camera in 1999 really sparked my obsession with photography – the instant gratification of seeing the photos inspired me to take so many more. Prior to starting law school in 2002, I was selling my photographs at numerous places in Florida. When I went to my first law school orientation, I put law school on hold because I didn’t want to walk away from my career as a photographer. The next semester, I changed my mind and started law school, and only enjoyed photography as a hobby after that.
I love to travel. I plan countless with my family, and we’ve been lucky enough to travel around the world. I love photographing all the beautiful places we’ve been to. I have photo collections from Europe, South America, the Caribbean, and all over the United States. I love photographing Florida, the mountains (especially the Blue Ridge and the Smoky Mountains near our mountain house in North Carolina), the National Parks of the United States, and everywhere else we travel. I also love photographing random spots of beauty in cities and small towns. There is beauty to be found everywhere if you remain open to it and present for it.
